The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) is seeking a Registration Coordinator. We have one (1) permanent position available to start immediately.

The role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Registration the responsibilities of the Registration Coordinator include handling specific tasks within the Registration Department including the distribution of work, initial application file review of applications escalated from Client Services, processing Unclaimed Trust returns and disbursements, initial complaint file review, identification and follow up for supporting documents, and preparation of Director’s certificates. 

The position also supports standard administrative and processing activities of the Registration Department and provides training and support to Client Services staff, and an enhanced level of customer service to registrants, prospective applicants, brokerage administrators and consumers.

Position responsibilities

  • Review, prioritize and assign daily work to Registration Officers.
  • Coordinate Unclaimed Trust program including review and preparation of trust monies for deposit by the Accounting department, and organization of trust money disbursements.
  • Provide training and support to Client Services staff. 
  • Preparation of Director’s certificates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and experience

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience at the coordinator level.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with registrants, applicants, co-workers, service providers, and consumers in a professional manner. 
  • Strong understanding of the laws governing the real estate sector as they apply to registration. 
  • Ability to function independently and in a team environment.
