The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) is seeking a Coordinator, Audit & Inspection. We have one permanent position available to start immediately.

The role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Audit & Inspection, the Coordinator supports the manager and supervisor with standard and program specific administrative and processing activities required for the successful administration of the Audit & Inspection program. Responsibilities include: preparing, distributing and following-up on correspondence with brokerages; inspection file coordination activities for inspectors; data entry and report preparation; and provision of program information and support to internal departments, registrants, and brokerage administration personnel.

  • Complete and report on assigned tasks.
  • Resolve issues and challenges, escalating as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with team, internal and external colleagues.
  • Develop awareness of risks and risk triggers, escalating as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in coaching and performance management activities, including setting personal goals and development plans.
  • Engage in formal and informal learning opportunities that support growth in current role and career aspirations; proactively seek out opportunities to contribute to the organization.
  • Demonstrate self-awareness and emotional intelligence - developed through formal training, inquiry, feedback, and reflection - to be a professional, resilient, confident contributor to the organization.
  • Complete ad-hoc assignments delegated by management.
  • Support issue resolution escalated by team. 
  • Act as back-up for colleagues and counterparts during absences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and experience

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience at the coordinator level.
  • Strong understanding of the laws governing the real estate sector as they apply to compliant brokerage practices; experience in a brokerage or real estate environment an asset.
  • Excellent computer and software skills, particularly MS Office suite (including excel), CRM/databases; familiarity with brokerage software packages an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with registrants, applicants, co-workers, service providers, and consumers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to function independently and in a team environment.
